CeBIT Australia – leads audience into the future with new social media innovation

Hello Social win social media contract with CeBIT to manage their Social Media Command Centre and display of social media content

The global business technology event, CeBIT Australia will be held in May this year, with a technology contribution different to previous years. The 2015 CeBIT exhibition and conference which attracts over 20,000 visitors, will feature a Social Media Hub on the show floor to encourage people to interact through a live social media feed, displaying user generated content on digital displays throughout the three day event.

Running this facility is Sydney based social media agency, Hello Social – whom after a competitive pitch, won the contract to work with the event organisers Hannover Fairs Australia to install and facilitate the running of the four screens and social media command centre.

The technology that was developed by the agency provides social media command centres and digital displays of social media content and conversation. CeBIT Australia is leading the way by implementing this live technology into the 2015 event.

“During the event there will be up to four conferences taking place simultaneously,” says Max Doyle, Founder of Hello Social. “A Community Manager will produce live content for each presentation and interact live with content produced by the audience. This content and interaction will be visible on custom designed displays at the conferences and around the event.

“Displaying social media content live at events is the future of event management. Through the digital displays, audiences are encouraged to engage online, significantly boosting the reach and awareness of events” Max continues.

Conversations will be taking place primarily over Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. With each conference and speech owning its own hashtag specific to the talk.

The implementation of a live social media feed on screens at the forthcoming event, 5 – 7 May, will mean that more participants will engage in online conversation and grow their networks and their messaging accordingly.
